The Othmar Huber Collection
The selection of 15 works from the collection of Swiss ophthalmologist Othmar Huber (1892-1979) exhibited in the Albertina follows the focus of the collection from German Expressionism to the beginnigs of Bauhaus featuring works by Franz Marc, August Macke, Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee. Two significant paintings by Picasso, Sleeping Female Drinker (1902) and Woman in Profile (1963) complete this ensemble.The exhibited works are on loan from the Othmar Huber Foundation, located at Kunstmuseum Bern, and the Kunsthaus Glarus.
